Fashion Contest Group Launched

Over the past year I have noticed that members of the fashion industry network on occasion post information regarding fashion contests that they are promoting. In addition, I have seen various blog posts from members requesting other members to vote for them on fashion contests that they have entered. Due to the fact that contests relevant to fashion appear to be of interest to some of our fellow members, I have decided to create a place on the network for members to post information about fashion relevant contests.

Rather then add a section in the fashion forums area, I have decided to make a new group in the fashion groups section of the network. You can use the following link to view the new fashion contest group (http://www.fashionindustrynetwork.com/group/fashion_contests).

In the contests group, you are welcome to discuss the following:

Fashion Design Contests

Beauty Pageant Contests

Fashion Photography Contests

Stylist Contests (hair, makeup, or wardrobe)

Promotional Contests (Clothing stores or jewelry stores giving away fashionable gifts to build traffic to their stores).

Fashion Illustration Contests (Artwork relevant to fashion or textiles)

Modeling Contests

Basically, any contest that is relevant in some way to the fashion industry or textile industry.

Please be patient, it will take time for members to find the new group and it will also take time for new contests to be added. In time, the area will hopefully be helpful for those of us interest in participating in or promoting fashion contests.

By the way, I am not thrilled with the current image that I have used as the icon for the group (a trophy). If anyone wants to create a fashionable logo for the group, you are welcome to send me ideas. Maybe we should have a contest to see who can develop the best "Fashion Contest Group" logo for the Fashion Industry Network...
