Alexander McQueen (Picture) mourner A makeshift memorial grows at Alexander McQueen’s Manhattan store on the day the celebrated fashion designer was found dead at his London home, after supposedly taking his own life - just a week after his mother passed away.
ALEXANDER MCQUEEN’s womenswear adviser, SARAH BURTON, will replace the fashion icon as his namesake company’s creative director.
MCQueen devoted suicide in London in February (10).
Burton has been the designer’s associate for many years and served as head of design for womenswear at the fashion house up until MCQueen’s death.
In a statement she says she expects to “stay true to his (MCQueen) legacy“.
