Amal Clooney shows her fashion sense with a dazzling selection of coats

George Clooney is just riding on her coattails.

Amal Clooney is continuing to show her superb style sensibility during the couple’s New York sojourn — with a dazzling array of outerwear that some fashion bloggers are calling “coat porn.”

The 37-year-old human rights lawyer has been spotted entering and exiting the Carlyle Hotel in a dizzying array of designer labels such as Giambattista Valli and Saint Laurent, but she has also worn fringed kimonos from little-known brand Shantique Designs and traffic-stopping jackets by Paul & Joe.

She looks like “an updated Jackie Onassis,” says Neil Rodgers, who styles Anna Kendrick, adding that Clooney’s jackets are particularly bold and chic.

“They couldn’t be described as ‘statement,’ although the bright solid-color choices, graphic shapes and volumes, along with great details — like the fringe on the cape — definitely command attention,” Rodgers says. “Amal tends to wear a lot of black and solid colors, rarely opting for patterns, which makes things easier in terms of finding a jacket that suits.”

The word on the street is that the brunette beauty doesn’t have a stylist, but most insiders think she’s getting help.

“She’s got to have relationships with various houses or a pile of free merch just growing outside her door every day,” says Tom Fitzgerald, half of style website TomandLorenzo.com.

Indeed, Vogue Editor in Chief Anna Wintour was at the Clooney wedding, and she and Amal recently had lunch at the Lambs Club, so it’s safe to say that Clooney is getting tips from the best.
