For a bride, finding the perfect wedding dress can be the most important detail of planning a wedding (sometimes more important than
finding the perfect groom ;)
). Most of us dream of what our wedding dresses will look like from
the time we are little girls. Then we come to understand fashion
trends and decide maybe the sparkly, over-the-top, fairytale gown,
similar to those worn by any number of Disney princesses, might not be
the best idea.

Spring 2010 has certainly brought some more elegant and understated trends to the forefront. Being a 2010 bride myself, I am certainly
thankful that I won’t have to invest in a hoop skirt anytime soon!

Origami Details: Many designers were sending wearable works of art down the runways this
Spring with the origami inspired details on wedding dresses.

Flowers: Florals are everywhere this season. Whether in the dress itself, the
train, or the veil, romantic flower details were hard to miss!

One-Sholder: One-shoulder and asymmetrical designs have been the hottest trend this
Spring so it comes as no surprise that they made their way to the
bridal runways as well.

Metallic Fabrics and Accents: Many designers used metallic fabrics on their wedding dresses this
season. Also, metallic accents (especially gold) were huge on the
bridal runways. Apparently all that

glitters IS gold this season!

Lace: All over lace is a huge trend in Spring 2010 wedding dresses. This
romantic style is versatile enough for a day or night wedding.
