Alexander Wang has proven himself over the last decade designing his namesake collection. As of December 2012, he was also announced as the Creative Director of Balenciaga and fashion fanatics are going gaga over his trademark simplicity he’s brought to Balenciaga. The front row seats were filled with a very influential family; Kanye West, Kim Kardashian and baby North (all in head to toe Balenciaga).
The trends spotted in the Spring 2015 collection include a black and white affair with light kisses of pastel colors, chic classic lines, high waited skirts, feminine shoulder baring cuts, and fishnet detailing. Wang added hints of embellishments throughout the collection that Cristóbal Balenciaga was famous for. “We started thinking a lot this season about opulence,” Wang told Vogue during a preview on the eve of his Balenciaga show, “with the mood feeling very . . . restrained in fashion lately, we thought, Let’s go indulgent!”
