- I will shop anywhere, for anything, with anybody. I am constantly hunting for coupons, investigating deals and rummaging around. I will even admit that my habit has brought me down the wrong path many times. I will also admit that I loved every minute of it. Shopping is something I can never give up.
Thanks to the fantastic world of blogging, the light bulb has finally gone off and now my obsession with swiping the card has evolved into greatness on top of fabulosity (hmm…wondering when this word will make its way to Websters). Anywho, I am here to tell you that I am just like you and share life experiences.
The ultimate high for me is shopping for clothes. I live for the sugar-shock that I feel when my eyes meet and fall in love with fabric intended to decorate the body. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a bargain to get bagged and go home with me, but if it is, that’s how I define utter bliss! My hat goes off to all the fashion designers out there. Those good, and even bad, ideas that make it to the retail market give me something to do, everyday.
Shoes. A simple necessity, yet one of the most amazing purchases one can make. High heels, kitten heels, slip-ons, strap ups, thigh high, knee-high, uh, endless possibilities. It doesn’t matter. I own them all. What’s so awesome about shoe shopping is that you don’t have to need them to want them but when we conjure up a need, we want them even more, making the acquisition that much more delightful. When trying them on, I often walk the store, close my eyes and vision myself there – there where? Anywhere showing my feet off.
Jewelry is that impeccable finish that tends to marry us to a look, and in some cases divorce us from that same look, hence the very reason I hold jewelry designers in the highest regard. Depending on the piece, you can dress up, dress down, play up or play down. Call me a gypsy, I don’t care. The more the merrier. Shiny, feathery, dangly, subtle, you name it. I do not discriminate.
Who doesn’t have a handbag fetish? I am completely infatuated. Let’s face it. They are conversation pieces. How many conversations do you have throughout the day? Plenty. There you have it - the need to have plenty of handbags.
My husband is truly disgusted with my closet. What I find amusing is that I never hear him complain when the shopping bag contains items for him. He, too, benefits from the deals I find on hotels, travel, restaurants, entertainment, etc. Needless to say, his barking of my shopping falls on death ears.
I say shop, shop, shop!
