About Me ...

Creative design freak! I love interior design, clothing design, jewelry design, architecture. I started off as a young teen making my own clothing. As I got older I got into the world of interior design and restoration. I am currently working on my 3rd personal restoration doing the majority of work myself. Yes boys I have plenty of power tools! ;^) I have been focusing over the past years on my lamp shades which to me are a nice blend of fashion design and interior design... I like to use all my past education, experience and just all out experimenting with fabrics, metals, feathers, beads etc. Anything to keep my ideas flowing.

Fashion Industry Experience

Well, I guess it all started as a young child where being and looking different came natural, ha.. I began sewing @ 14 yrs of age and continued through high school. I went to college in San Francisco for clothing design at FIDM. I've always had an interest for design in many aspects from clothing to interior design and architecture. Over a decade later (and a couple house restorations whew!) I went back to school for my degree in interior design in Sacramento at ARC. I have my own business called Filigree Interior Design and custom lamp shades called Filigreelamps. I have lots of fashion design in my background and when time permits will be adding a clothing line.

Favorite Fashion Designer or Fashion Brand

You can never go wrong with Anna Sui, Jean Paul Gaultier, John Galliano, Prada, Betsy Johnson
