About Me ...

I am an avid patternmaker/designer and sewer. It is part of my life and who I am. I currently do freelance work for both fashion and home decor. I love to focus on the details of garments and unique designs. Working with all types of fabrics is exciting.

I have sewn all my life and find sewing to be very rewarding. Because of my sewing experience and my love for detail, I feel that one of my strongest skills is in garment construction. I have a strong appreciation for techniques and trying new ways to do things.

Fashion Industry Experience

I am currently a freelance patternmaker and have completed work for several companies. I have worked on 'first' through 'production' patterns, tech packs, and illustrations of the overall garments as well as garment detail illustration.

I am very proficient in Illustrator and am currently incorporating Photoshop into my use of Illustrator.

What is hot in fashion this year?

It seems that ruffles and flounces are still here.
I love the ribbon fabric work that Lanvin is doing.
There seems to be an increase in creativity with regards to unique lines and geometry.
