I believe women and fashion are the two synonyms. A stylish and fashionable woman can make anyone turn heads and also leave her strong mark or impression anywhere. The studies have also proved that women who dress well and look attractive get jobs more easily and people even respect them more at their workplaces. So, who wants to be left behind in this cat race of fashion? Here in this article, I will be talking about the women fashion corsets.

The women fashion corsets have mental, physical, postpartum benefits. It trains the torso, reduces waist size by 4-5 inches and helps in achieving a curvy hour glass figure. Further, the corsets also compress the stomach and elevate the breast. They provide posture support and increase one's confidence. The fashion corsets come with both steel and acrylic boning. The steel boning corsets are usually for tight lacing and waist training whereas the acrylic ones are to match your attire and make the fashion statement.

In the 20^th century, fashion industry borrowed the term corset and gave it to the tops which mimic the traditional corsets.  These tops look like classical corsets but don’t fulfill the complete benefits for the wearer. The women fashion corset comes in various shapes, styles, and designs. However; the broader classification is always as an under bust and over bust corsets.

The over bust corsets begin just under the arms, covers the bust and torso and extends till hips. They further have neckline styles like the sweetheart, flattened, halter etc.  Whereas the under bust corsets start below the breasts covers the torso and extends towards the hips. They come in Gore, waspie and candy styles. In Steampunk fashion both over bust and under bust corsets comes in subtle colors with material like brocade, faux leather, leather etc. They have embellishments like studs, chain, zips, beads etc on them whereas in gothic fashion all corsets are usually of dark color preferably black. In Burlesque fashion the corsets are the mainstays and the whole fashion is streamlined around it.

Further, there is some more classification according to the length in women fashion corsets. The first is a Long line corset. This corset extends beyond the hip bone and this is best for the ones with the long torso. The long line corset provides more stability and smoothens out the hips too along with waist. Then comes the standard length corsets which finish before the iliac crest or hip bone. This is for people with the short torso and who wants more of flexibility. Another one is waist cincher, the shortest of all types and it just covers up the waist.  The last one is which extend till knees and these are known as corset dresses.
