What's great about Alexander Wang?

"When I started out, I wanted to pick on familiar itme that evoked luxury-cashmere was perfect. But moving forward, I want to make it more of a lifestyle brand.I kind of want to be the new Theory," said Alexander Wang. Despite being a newcomer, Wang's main lable and diffusion label T by Alexander Wang have already become household names, achieving lifestyle-brand status.
Inspired by the 80s, French chic and rock grunge, the Alexander Wang label is considered casually cool, street-chic style. In 2006, Wang said his brand was all about 'M.O.D.,' or Model Off-Duty, as it evokes a sense of nonchalance, always finished with that freshly rolled-out-of-bed look.

His brand has evolved since then into more sophisticated, reconstructed tailoring, but hasn't left his casual, T-shirt dressing roots quite yet. For example, his basics line, T by Alexander Wang, is transitioning into a full lifestyle label, expanding beyond its traditional lineup of tees and tanks.
