Hunter Class

The experienced horsemen judge hunters subjectively on the basis of their style, movement with horse, conformation and an overall picture which includes proper clothing. There are two different types of class, the show hunter which runs on the flat terrain, and the working hunter, which may have to jump some fences. Hunter class riding clothes do not need to be strictly traditional. However we suggest to not go for something fancy, as the horse riding jodhpurs would be appropriate with a jacket, belt and black boots.

Jumper Class

Similarly to hunter class, in jumper divisions riders must wear a helmet, boots, horse riding trousers except the jacket must be shorter. Your hair should be tucked in neatly or bun, ponytails are also allowed but the fewer dangling ends, the better you ride. In some events, polo shirts are also allowed as riders are also judged based on physical look.

Dressage Class

Dressage competitions are highly competitive as this sport is defined by the International Equestrian Federation. The dressage clothing must be soothing on the footsteps of traditional clothing. Your hair should be secured as they should not be following apart while presenting yourself on the horse. White ladies riding breeches are classic for the dressage ring but it becomes impossible for them to keep clean. The dressage jackets are rather longer than those worn in the jumper or hunter ring.
