What to Look for When Finding Her a Gift

"When a woman loves, she loves for real," quotes perhaps an infamous artist; nonetheless, it is still one honest song quote. Women love for real, and as such, it is up to you to treat and value your special lady as highly as the love she has for you. One of the five Greek love languages is giving and receiving gifts.

The perfect gift symbolizes your appreciation, showers love, and tells your partner how much you think about her. The need to get a gift right makes the process of picking a gift somewhat complex. Below is a guide on what to look for when finding her a fantastic gift.

Focus on What She Loves

One of the biggest mistakes when picking out gifts is choosing a gift you like and hoping your partner will love it also. Remember, this is about making her happy and not you. By focusing on what they like as a starting point to finding the right gift, you show your partner you are considerate of them and value their preferences.

Knowing what she likes may be another difficult task, but consider what makes her happy, listen, and take note of things she mentions or refers to. She will surely drop a hint of what she loves, like that latest ear-piercing jewelry set she constantly likes on Instagram or a new dress she has been looking at often throughout the day.

Evoke Some Memories

Gifts don't always have to be something new and trendy; sometimes, what we know best or have experienced before fills us with the most joy. So, go through your memories and find details that might help get her a new gift. However, do not pick the same gift on separate occasions, be creative. For instance, a collage or painting of multiple photos with her will surely put a smile on her face.

Consider Why You are Giving A Gift

Gifts can be celebratory, for instance, to a new mom or for a recent promotion, and spontaneous or out of the blue to show affection. Whatever the reasons, try to finetune your gift to suit the occasion. For instance, perhaps that new job requires a more powerful laptop, or maybe she needs a get-a-way to relax.

Gift Her an Experience

Don't box yourself to only perishable or tangible goods as gifts. Invest in a long-lasting experience that will be unforgettable for years to come. Does she love Drake? Well, a concert is coming up. Does she love listening to ocean waves? A trip to Mombasa or Hawaii may do the trick. When it comes to experience, select the experience but let her set the tone. Take the initiative by planning out the trip, you could even have 2 plans and let her choose which she would like or a combination of the two.

For all the gift idea lists you may read, giving gifts is really about the recipient, and all gifts should have her personal touch. Be thoughtful and creative, avoid rushing, and subtly ask them what they like and go for that.
