What is revolution?

The last time i checked the meaning of revolution in the encyclopedia, I found the letters like change... For years now In my country the practical meaning of revolution is to always fight our elected number 1 Man; the president who runs the affairs of the country from that multi billion Naira posh office located on the rock of the capital. Bitterly tongue lashing his cabinet and lawmakers and other executives by blaming, nagging, complaining, bombing, crying, swearing, condemning, rioting, demonstrating with the slogan "enough is enough" and sometimes the journalists go the extra mile by publishing to the world all the bad sides they see in the administration with big big English grammar that most readers have to cheque the meaning in the dictionary to understand without hinting on a possible solution. Although this our attitude towards a change has made a little or no impact on the overall development of the country but it is the most comfortable and easy way. The luxury of being responsible individually is too challenging; hard.

I only visited London for business purpose and I myself is not a Colombian by birth or Irish by blood I am a Nigerian born who speak Yoruba; my tribe language perfectly. Therefore, please pardon my use of English language. The real deal is that most youth have grown up with this attitude of beign a victim of the govt as we wouldn't want to get out of our own comfort zone by focusing on our resources; own responsibility to unite, to contribute, to learn, create our own destiny by using our own God given creative talents to support ourselves. Instead when its time to make a collective difference we either run behind religion, tribal differences or better still blame the west. It just always look easy to look for who to point the fingers at.

We all wear the shoes and feel where it pains; Constant electricity, Jobs, Security and all other challenges. But I think even if we are fortunate or the opposite enough to remove the present president from the office it is still unlikely that the new one will make us all better. I know its not very beautiful but it's just unconstitutional for the government to make us all rich even as an Oil Giant Nation. My take is We all are responsible for the mess we find ourselves in and the change we yearn for. The antidote is to change ourselves first individually, change our own thinking, Accept our own responsibility, Focus our energy on creating our own purpose. But we have a choice to either continue talking or take a fresh approach and embark on a new path. I believe that Revolution is our joint responsibility; rebuilding together for a better change.
