Vintage :What's Old is New Again?

I don't have any vintage clothes in my closet.

Firstly because I give to charity most of the clothes I don't use anymore or those who are out of 'fashion' . Remember the impossibly pointed toe shoes. Back in 2006 a friend of mine used to tell me 'Sexy and sophisticated, pointy toe shoes will always have their place in the fashion world.' The pointy shoes have a place in the fashion world now in 2010, but a smaller and getting even smaller place. At least those remaining have a small poited toe.

Second, I give them to friends or cousins. When I know that I've been putting on a piece a lot of times because I loved it, I know that I won't be using it so much anymore. So i think that maybe a friend, or a family member would me more than happy to have that piece of cloth and use it more than me.

Third, I don't buy clothes at vintage shops. Even when I've entered those shops i never find my size, or the color. there you can find just single pieces, and I feel upset if I see something I'd really love and not having the possibility to find it in the right size.

But fortunately for me the 'Vintage' concept has been reinvented by fashion industry. Once a vintage piece of cloth was an old and used piece of cloth coming from at least the style of a decade before. Nowadays designers are searching their storic books, picking a decade, remaking the style of those years...and giving us vintage. Look at the new Gucci Heritage reproducing the same bag of the 1973 line.

I don't have vintage clothes, but I thought of having a vintage style photoshoot project.
