Vidya Balan made a striking statement in a red linen saree for a photoshoot ahead of a promotional event for her new film Sherni on Thursday. Sarees are Vidya’s favourite, you see, and she is most often spotted at events and parties in beautiful ones.

For the event today, Vidya opted for a linen saree from a brand called Kavana. The red saree featured artistry and hand painting of florals and vines with intricate zari work on the borders. Vidya paired the saree with a black handloom blouse.

To accessorise her attire, Vidya wore silver jhumkas and a statement kada from the shelves of Neeta Boochra.

She tied her hair in a neat bun and her make-up was subtle with jet black kohl and maroon lipstick.
