Very Vintage at http://streetspaghetti.blogspot.com

I think that vintage is the way forward, by moving backward, and here is why.
By recycling our clothing..
1. We are being kind to the environment.. instead of being such a disposable society
we can give new life to what has already been manufactured.
2. Jumbling up looks from different periods of the past, to create different silhouettes
and looks for the present.
3. Finding things that are original, vintage stores are full of one- off pieces.
4. Being more creative.. there is something so fresh about finding new ways to wear
vintage. Don't think that designers aren't inspired by the looks everyday fashion
forward folk create.. it all starts right there on the street.
5. You have decades, no, centuries of fashion to choose from. And you won't find
this at Urban Outfitters! Get inspiration from books about anything from
Josephine Baker to St. Tropes in the 50's, HAIR the musical, Studio 54, Duran Duran,
the original Charlie's Angels, Old Hollywood Glamour or the early days of Missoni.
Absorb all the information you can, and then mix it all up in a modern way.

Don't restrict your imagination, but edit , edit, edit. You don't want to look as though you left with the entire rack of vintage on your back. Chose amazing pieces that suit your personality and are good quality. And look out for odd smells or stains. Dry clean everything, and then wear your hard to find cache with pride!
