So, on one shiny Sunday, the best time to either sleep or get some great ideas, it occurred to me that perhaps going back to the vintage style images and patterns will be a good idea. We can try those old style photos and designs to give a pleasant surprise to the customers or recipients of our pyramid boxes.

It is because, we know that vintage has its own magic and people always tend to get nostalgic and when they do, they always like to get their hands on vintage items or memorabilia.

So, here is how you can also make awesome vintage style pyramid boxes at home and those too without any extra expense.

1. Material

Here is the list of the materials that you need to make this awesome vintage-style pyramid boxes packaging:

• Pyramid boxes template
• Cardstock sheet of any color that you want
• One plain paper sheet of the same color as the cardstock sheet but the very slight variation of it e.g. light pink paper sheet in the case where cardstock is dark pink
• One paper sheet with patterns but color should be the same as the color of cardstock
• Some color-printed images of vintage style e.g. a cattle with a face, a teddy bear holding the ice cream cone or any other style that you love – you can modify the style as per the age and gender of the target customer or recipient
• Some heart, flower or star color-printed images with the size smaller than the vintage style images mentioned above
• Scale and scissors
• Bone folder
• Paper punch
• Ribbon
• Glue or double sided tape

2. Process

Follow this step by step process to make your first vintage style pyramid gift boxes.

• Get the template of pyramid box printed on your cardstock
• Use the scissors and scale (if needed) to cut the template out of cardstock; this gives you the piece of cardstock that you can turn into a pyramid box
• You will see some dashed lines on the cardstock, use the bone folder to score along those lines and it will give you the floor and walls of your pyramid
• You should now see 4 visible triangles (thanks to bone folder), use the scissors and scale to cut 4 triangles out of the paper stock and the size of those triangles should be equal to the size of the triangles
• Paste those triangles on the triangles made to the cardstock and now cut the vintage style images and images of hearts and flowers etc.
• Paste them on the paper stock triangles
• Cut a big square of patterned paper stock equal to the size of the floor of pyramid box and paste it onto the floor
• Use the paper punch to make holes on top of both sides of each wall
• Have a ribbon go through them with leaving on wall open to put the gift inside the box and when done, have the ribbon’s ends go through their holes as well and make a knot
