Trending Bridal Sarees

It’s your wedding?

I’m sure you must be excited as I am. You being the showstopper for that D-day, all you’ve to do is to wisely select bridal sarees that are trendy and fashionable.

With your fashion sense, you must ideally make your wedding a star studded affair.

Before you surf online or get on to design your own saree from a boutique or yourself – let me give you a basic insight about the trending bridal sarees of 2017 and which occasion of your wedding it is best to wear them.

  1. Sangeeth and Mehendi

Nowadays, every culture follows this norm of Haldi, Sangeet and Mehendi. Always a pre-wedding ritual starts off with the Haldi smeared on the bride’s face and hands. It’s better to avoid wearing sarees in such rituals. But for the evening you can choose a party wear saree of lehenga type with a boat neck style blouse. Going a little backless or sporting a sleevless blouse is good to go, if you’re comfortable for a little bit skin show while shaking a leg with the aunties who have made it to your Sangeeth.

  1. Cock-Tail Party

If you have arranged for a cocktail party or bachelorette party - shimmery party wear saree in fuschia or rocking blue colour saree would be uber for a starry night party.

With high heels and a dab of red lipstick, you’re sure to look trendy and traditional.

  1. The D-Day aka Wedding Day

Choose bridal sarees as per the mood and theme of the ambience. It’s better to go for lighter hues and pastels, if your wedding is during the day. Go for darker hues as it adds up your glam quotient!

But try going a little quirky and bold with colours and fabric. It’s better to put aside those deep red, maroons with golden colour and opt for trending neon shades.

For example : A simple peach lehenga with golden sequins all over its body and a contrasting green cold shoulder blouse with kori work and a golden embellished dupatta , might be an obvious choice that you can go ahead with.

On the other hand if you’re someone who has affinity towards Kanjeevarams and Banarasi. Then, either one could be an ideal designer bridal saree for your wedding, as the fabric or the design itself is enough to create that ‘wow’ factor.
