Training of the first and fifth graders

On Saturday, 15.09.2018, this year's schooling for the first graders traditionally started with a service at 9 o'clock in the Catholic Church. The first graders were blessed with good wishes for their school start. Then the welcome program took place. All classes of the elementary school made their contribution to it. As a first program, the fourth graders under the direction of Mrs. Rausch sang a welcome song, which was composed by Mrs. Rausch herself.

The welcome song included motivating and encouraging passages to help the first year students get off to an exciting start in school. With her empathic address, the headmistress of the School, Ulrike Speck, welcomed the first graders, their parents, and guests. She pleaded for a trusting cooperation between parenting and the school. She gave the first-graders the road to do something wonderful now - they are schoolchildren.

As a result, the second graders with the "Lola-Rap" showed that reading with Lola is a really great thing. Lola accompanies the children in their first year of school reading, writing and learning letters. With the story of the lion Leo, who got stomachache on the excitement on his first day of school, Mrs. Speck tried to give courage to the first years, because each one of them was something very special and could do something very well. Together with Ms. Gartner and Mr. Sober, the schoolchildren could now sing a song together that they already knew from the kindergarten cooperation. The third graders filled the stage with best wishes for the new school students. Mrs. Speck rounded off the training with some important recommendations that also provide support and trust to parents in this new phase in which they are allowed to accompany their children on their educational journey. Ms. Speck ended her speech with these words: "School in itself is something wonderful if you look closely at it". She also thanked her colleagues who provided the organization and the program. Last but not least, parents and guests exchanged their coffee and cake, clarified open questions and let this special day of their children come to an end. The entertainment was provided by the parents of the second graders.

Safety vests for our school beginners

Just in time for the beginning of the dark season, the 48 school-freshmen received bright yellow vests which made of reflective materials for their safe way to school again this year.

The foundation "Yellow Angel" of the ADAC and the "Deutsche Post AG" want to achieve through this action that especially the youngest road users on the way to school and in the free time with the bright and reflective vest are better seen and safer on the road are.

In order for the children to wear their vests, they are particularly suitable for children, from a cool hood to large images of the ADAC traffic detectives "Felix and Frieda", who are always on the side of the young road users during the campaign. Full of joy the first graders tried the new vests with reflective fabric right away. The school expresses its sincere thanks on behalf of all children.

Hurray, the fifth years are finally here!

On Wednesday, the 12th of September, it was time. The big day was finally here and the enrollment of the fifth graders at the school took place.

The sixth grades, under the guidance of their first and second learning facilitators, set up a colorful program and warmly welcomed the new students in different languages, with a poem and two songs.

Mr. Sachiko spoke with his speech from the heart - a new and exciting period of life began for many expectant and curious fifth graders and their parents. Many unanswered questions buzzed around the room... Who will be my new learning companion? Can I find friends quickly? What does my classroom look like and who will I sit next to? Is there a climbing frame in the schoolyard and what are the breaks at my new school?

While the fifth graders were able to get to know their learning companions, their new classmates and their classroom, the parents of the sixth graders invited for coffee and cake and one or the other conversation in the auditorium. Some of the open questions could already be answered right there and everyone was already looking forward to the next day to get to know the new classmates, the learning companions and also the new school better.
