4. Leheriya Saree:

Leheriya is a traditional style of tie dye practiced in Rajasthan. They are brightly colored cloths with distinctive patterns. This art got its name from the Rajasthani word of wave, the pattern invocate the flow of water showing the depths of indigo after multiple mud resistant and dying processes. 

The dying is done on a thin cotton cloth by rolling the fabric diagonally from one corner to the opposite selvage and after that it is tied at required intervals. The pattern is simple, elegant yet very beautiful and stylish. They are worn by women of Rajasthan on a casual basis and the heavy ones are worn at special occasions and festivals.

It is a famous saree that originated in Bengal. The historic production of these sarees was patronised by the Mughal emperors. The saree was originally known as Dhakai which got its name after the Dhaka city and later on it was named as Jamdani under the Mughal empire. It is a hand loom woven fabric made of cotton, that was historically referred to as muslin. It is the weaving tradition of Bengali origin. 

It is one of the most time intensive and labour intensive forms of hand loom weaving. It is considered the finest variety of cotton and most artistic attire. You can get a stylish yet elegant and simple look by wearing this saree.
