Thinning Hair: A Misery That Strikes Many Women!

A lush mane can bring pride for many as it usually symbolizes beauty and youth. Thinning locks is a major cause of concern for many women, especially those that are over the age of 30 years. The issue is widespread across the world, but that does not end the discussion that take place over the issue. Certain similar statistics are stated by either hair care firms or dermatologists who say that about 45% of women can experience hair loss by the time they reach the age of 50. Thinning of hair in women is something that can also be prevented, if not stopped altogether.

Also, as the age increases, the scalp also tends to become tighter, as well as drier. This can substantially affect the blood circulation, which consequently leaves an impact on the hair follicles.

The first step is to understand the situation – whether it is temporary or can be problematic. Hair thinning can also become a patterned loss of hair (baldness), which is known as androgenetic alopecia. Thus, a general practitioner can give you blood tests in order to determine if you are anaemic or if you have a thyroid issue – which can contribute in thinning of the hair.

Also, if the hair is thinning on account of shedding, then the problem is most probably temporary. In such cases, despite the shedding of hair, the follicle will produce new hair and the problem will be sorted soon. Furthermore, there are many products available in the market that contain natural ingredients which are used to help thicken the mane as well as reduce breakage.

Also, women can nurture from the inside as well by eating well, sleeping properly and not taking unnecessary stress. It is also important to note that treating your hair well is a condition that must be followed diligently.

Using excessive hair colour, chemicals or treatments can cause damage to follicles, as suggested by many experts. In other words, it is best to avoid or limit the use of curling irons, straighteners, tongs, etc. which can make your hair more fragile. If it is absolute necessity that these tools need to be used, it is best to use a heat protective spray. This can minimize the effect of the amount of damage that is done to hair.

Thus, the key to regrowth of hair is to first address the issue as soon as possible and not live in denial. One can understand the changing pattern themselves by noticing the width of their ponytail, wider section of part, or even the overall thickness of hair. The next and the most necessary step would be to seek help of a dermatologist or endocrinologists to help move towards the step of hair regrowth.
