With the TriBeCa Film Festival generating mucho buzz this week, the place to be last night for movie stars, moguls, models, media machers, and other quintessential New York characters was the portico of the State Supreme Courthouse, at 60 Centre Street, where Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter, Revlon C.E.O. Ronald Perelman, and acting legend Robert De Niro co-hosted the kick-off party for the eighth annual Tribeca Film Festival (vanity fair).

I too got a little caught up in the hype and couldn't wait to see photos from the opening party and various screenings. Seeing the faces of my famous neighbors (and clients, though I will never tell!), made me feel honored to share the triangle below Canal Street with these immensely gifted people whose individual talents I can't help but be in awe of!

But now let's get to the fashion! A-listers like Cameron Diaz, Amanda Seyfried, and Rashida Jones are popping up all over town at red carpets, but they are not the only ones. Mere mortals, like my good friend Susan who may not be a Hollywood starlet, but will be hitting plenty of premiers and fancy TFF parties will need to look spectacular in her own right! So I went out on a limb, and styled two tres high-fashion looks that won't drain Susan's bank account, but will keep her looking equally fashion-fabulous when she's rubbing elbows with film industry elites!!!!!
