The Superstar and the Madison Avenue Salesgirl

Since the response was so fierce for Monday's blog post (Thank Goodness The Cup Did Not Runneth Over) I thought I'd give everyone a riddle to think about. Most people know that I am a Madison Avenue Salesgirl to many movie, TV, and rock stars, as well as socialites from New York to Palm Beach and all the way to Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. But I have one client who, if there is a place above A-List she and her husband sit upon its throne. I was recently asked by this starlet's people to keep my beloved Barneys open after hours so she could shop in privacy and Barneys graciously agreed to this accommodation because of the influence of this powercouple. An advance security team was sent in by her camp to check everything out. It took a huge effort on our part to coordinate an operation of this magnitude, employing 20 or so people, which cost Barneys a small fortune in overtime. A precise schedule was instituted by her security team including synchronizing and timing the opening and closing of doors. General Norman Schwarzkopf couldn't have been more thorough securing the Barneys perimeter. I would be the one helping this A-Lister and would have to meet her at the Barneys loading dock and escort her to "The Penthouse," a secret place within Barneys reserved for the best clients. I painstakingly picked out nearly a quarter million dollars worth of clothes that I knew she would love, an endeavor that took two days. Everything was ready to go and the big night was upon me and the 20 other people waiting for this superstar. One huge problem:
