You are getting ready for an important business conference. You are wearing your best suit to impress your clients. Everything is in place, including your best shoes. When you start wearing your shoes, something happens and your shoelaces snap. Your world comes crashing down on your head as you are now unable to wear your favorite shoes. You start becoming uneasy when your spouse comes up with the idea of using Hickies. She tells you that this is the couple that has invented this beautiful contraption responsible for saving your day.

The elastic shoe laces are a wonderful invention in their own right. They are the best alternative to the traditional shoelaces. We agree that the Hickies can never replace the true joy of tying your traditional shoelaces in the most beautiful manner. This is true for people who have mastered this art. Spare a thought of billions of others on this planet who do not know how to tie shoelaces in spite of the shoelaces being part of their lives ever since they have started wearing shoes.  

These are very simple contraptions making you wonder why someone not thought of it earlier. Sometimes, the simplest things can be the most difficult to achieve. You should give the credit where it is due. Gaston has been troubled with this problem of tying shoelaces ever since he was a child. This made him rack his brains and come up with a solution that can benefit millions of people in similar predicaments.  

One must certainly agree that tying shoelaces can get on your nerves sometimes. They tend to untangle at the most inopportune time. You have to literally drag your feet under such circumstances.
