Fall 2019 offers a wide variety of options for anyone who’s ready for a bit more color and some fun textures in their wardrobes. From feathers to fur and from pistachio to lilac, you can find something that will suit your style. Strong contrasts and pieces with patterned inserts provide everyone the chance to add flair to each piece they wear. Here are four ideas for you to add to your wardrobe this season.

Tailoring is In

The skinny leg seems to be fading from popularity to be replaced by a well-tailored trouser. This wider leg stops directly at the shoe top and hangs crisply. Men’s jackets offer contrasting lapels and the boxy double-breasted jacket has a place at the table. Many women’s business jackets and dresses include a narrow belt for a cinched suit look. From a simple black belt to a chain detail, you can update your look for very little money.

Fleece and Leisure

To stay both warm and fashionable as fall temperatures drop, consider some of the fleece bottoms and oversized sweaters available from several designers. While jogger pants were very stylish 5 years ago, new fleece trousers feature large pockets and a loose fit for comfort. Men’s sweaters for fall will be big and loaded with blocks of color.

Outerwear

The offerings from men’s apparel retailers for fall 2019 feature a lot of contrast. You’ll find jackets that include both boiled wool and microsuede. Other features include woven inserts, Navajo themes, and leather trim on cotton and wool pieces. No matter how cold it will get, you can find an eye-catching jacket that will work well with the rest of your winter wardrobe.

Tiny Bags

Everyone will be happy to see that the tiny bag selection is growing. These simple tools work well across your body or can simply fit into your hand. New structures in tiny bags include suitcase styling. Many crossbody bags now come with fanny pack styling to secure the bag. New open top totes are replacing the briefcase and laptop backpacks now also feature additional bags that can be added to the front straps for easy phone access.

Fall of 2019 offers everyone the chance to go a little vintage. The addition of contrasting lapels and a celebration of oversized garments such as trench coats means that you can build a fall fashion treat on top of a thrift store find. Be ready to play with textures and colors to come up with something truly unique.
