Streetwear is the new trend that is here to stay for a while. Gone are the days of bare ankles, skinny jeans and tight-fitting clothes. It's now time to get a little more comfortable and follow some of the trending items out there. Street fashion is continuously changing, but there are some essentials that should be in every street wardrobe. From sneakers and graphic tees to cargo and hoodies, in this article, we will go through some of the streetwear essentials for 2022. 

Sneakers

Sneakers were always going to be on this list. They are literally the icing on the cake when it comes to streetwear attire. More people than ever are spending their money on one-off or designer trainers to go with their outfits. All types of sneakers are okay, but the trending pieces are made from either leather or canvas such as Air Jordans, New Balance and Saucony. Coordinating the colours of your trainers and outfit is a great way to air everything together neatly.  

Unique Shades

Sunglasses are not just for the summer, they can be used all year round. Whether you are needing them for your morning walk or the trip home from work, shades should always be on you. They're a great way of adding mystery and definition to an outfit. The classic and timeless styles should be replaced with something a little more unique. There are many styles out there, but ensure that you are getting a pair that suits your face shape, gold trim is all the craze at the moment, so adding some bling is a great touch.

Graphic Tees 

If you haven't already got a couple of graphic tees, then you need to go and find some that you like. This is hands down an essential to a streetwear fit. You can get maximalist designs or go minimal but choose something that you are comfortable in. With the term of skinny and fitted clothing going out the window, baggy graphic tees look much better than tight fitting. Size up at least one size and work from there. Some people like really baggy, and others don’t. If you are still into skinny jeans, then a baggy tee and hoodie from Fradime Clothing and some jazzy trainers is a great and easy fit to have in your wardrobe. 

Caps and Hats

Whether you are into a cap, bucket hat or Fisherman's beanies, hats of all types are back in style. Adding a hat to your outfit adds more layers which in turn adds more dimension to an outfit. One tip from me is that if you are wearing a cap, don't wear shades as this looks ridiculous. Stand out with a bold hat of your choice with a pop of colour. The great thing about hats is there is a huge range to choose from, so you are bound to find one you like or suits you. 

Accessories

You cant have a streetwear fit if you are not accessorised. Having a couple of rings, bracelets, necklaces and even watches will make your outfit stand out further. You don’t need to have them all on at once, but its good to be able to choose styles with your outfit. If you want diamonds, they don’t have to be real, nobody will know except you.
