At some point, everyone is ready to change their hair up, even if they liked it the way it was for years. However, that doesn’t mean that you need to go out immediately and get a drastic haircut. If you do, you might end up regretting it later. Fortunately, giving your hairdo a makeover is easier than you think. Whether you want to sport a pixie cut or mermaid curls, below are some ways to transform your hair without ever seeing a pair of scissors.

Change Your Part

Even if you love your hair the length and style it is, you might feel like you need a change. Switching where you part your hair can make a bigger difference than you might expect. If you normally part your hair in the center, part your hair to one side for a more dramatic, sultry look. If you already part your hair on the side, try a center parting for a more relaxed, laid-back vibe. Changing where you part your hair can also elongate your face, so if you already have an oblong shape, even a slight shift to the side can have a huge impact.

Fake a Fringe

Getting bangs usually goes one of two ways; you either fall in love with your banks or start counting the minutes until they grow out. If you’re not into high-maintenance hairstyles, faking a fringe might be the better way to go. Clip-on bangs are a fast and easy way to test drive how bangs look on you without commitment. They’re also a great finishing touch to updos. Most clip-ons can be customized and dyed to match your hair color.

Try a Wig

Long gone are the days when wigs looked fake or clown-like. Now, custom-made wigs look so natural—not even the people closest to you will know you're wearing one. Custom-made wigs now use human hair and are sewn by hand. You can have them colored to just like your own hair while you try out a new hairstyle or haircut before committing to a chop.

Blow Your Hair Out

If you have curly hair, you can transform your look with a sleek blowout. Section your hair and use a round brush with natural bristles and blow your hair in a downward direction. You can even add extra volume at the crown by rolling the hair in a backward direction as well.

If your hair is naturally straight, you can also create soft, bounce waves by using a round brush and rolling the hair away from your face, again in a downward direction. Top things off with an ultra-light holding spray to keep your new look in place all day.

There are tons of ways to change your hairstyle without scissors. So, whether you've always wanted to rock a bold color or a sleek chignon, all you need are the right styling products and a little creativity.
