Some of Biggest Dramas on YouTube in 2020

You may feel like you've been in your bedroom for most of 2020, but that hasn't stopped the world's YouTubers and influencers from going into the drama. And hey, isn't it sort of what they do best to create drama from their bedrooms? Here's a look back at some of the year's best moments.

Then Jeffree Star broke up with Nate Schwandt

Throwback to January 2020 when, after five years together with a video called "We Broke Up," the YouTuber shocked the world and revealed the couple's breakup. In the video, Jeffree maintained that behind the split there was no controversy ("this is not like an internet battle, this is not tea") but fans later suspected that with some of his palettes, he was throwing shade at Nate.

When Shane Dawson deleted his account on YouTube,

Racist and abusive footage of Shane's early YouTube videos appeared the same month (July 2020). In his 'Taking Responsibility' video, he apologised before his YouTube channels were deleted. "In my past, I have done a lot of stuff that I hate, that I wish I could make go away, that I tried to make go away by deleting posts, or un-tagging my Instagram, literally doing everything I could to pretend it didn't happen," he said.

He's still on Twitter and Instagram, but his last tweet read, "I had it removed. I'm done. I did "address it" for those who needed me to. You can find it reposted elsewhere, I'm sure. But in my life, or in my timeline, I don't want this energy. I'm too responsive to this crap, and I'm done with it. [sic] The"

When the FBI raided Jake Paul's home,

YouTuber Jake Paul's home was raided by the FBI in August and, according to the BBC, weapons were allegedly confiscated from the house. Sources added that the raid came about in June this year because of the arrest of Paul (he has been charged with looting during a Black Lives Matter protest in Arizona).

Paul, who at the time of the raid was not home, denied any wrongdoing with respect to his detention, tweeting, "Neither I nor anyone in our party was involved in any looting or vandalism, to be completely clear. We spent the day doing our part in peacefully protesting one of the most heinous injustices our nation has ever seen, for context."

In a statement, published by the BBC, an FBI representative said: "In connection with an ongoing investigation, the FBI is conducting a federal search warrant at a Calabasas home. A judge has sealed the affidavit in support of the search warrant and I am, therefore, forbidden to comment on the details of the investigation. There are no arrests expected."

When Ellen DeGeneres came to Nikki Tutorials for

Nikki Tutorials disclosed her own encounter with the host in the Ellen DeGeneres claims of the summer - and let's just say it wasn't very complimentary.

The 25-year-old said during a Dutch interview on De Wereld Draait Door in March that her experience with Ellen wasn't as fun as it seemed.

Sebastian Williams, who runs a YouTube drama channel, was the one who spotted the February interview and translated it into English. We tested the translation with a native Dutch speaker as well.

In the clip, host Matthijs van Nieuwkerk asks Nikkie, "What was Ellen DeGeneres like?" Nikkie says in response, "Ok... let's just say there's a major difference between this show and Ellen Degeneres, and that's what I'm thinking in support of this show. It's nice that before the show you say 'hi'... she didn't. Ellen is just a world so different."

"She added, "It was a great honour to be with Ellen on that stage, but it wasn't as good as I expected. Ouch. Ouch. Ellen has yet to respond to the allegations.

When Taylor feuded on Twitter with James Charles and Drag Race's Trinity 'The Tuck'

An debate between James Charles and the alumni of Drag Race Trinity 'The Tuck' Taylor on Twitter in March. When YouTuber tweeted, "Tested positive for getting a fat butt." it all began.

Trinity answered, "Fat butt? Who diagnosed you, girl? About Hellen Keller? "Referring to the first blind and deaf female, author and activist Hellen Keller, to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree.

James Charles hit back later, going back and forth again. He wrote, "Damn, she must have mistaken Braille for the lumpy silicone in your face instead of reading my actual test results / My mistake.... Speaking of mistakes, how's your crown?"

The feud continued when James was accused by Trinity of asking him for free tuck pants, to which James fired back with receipts he had offered on PayPal to pay. All the stuff was pretty confusing, tbh.

When Jeffree Star accused him of stealing from his boyfriend,

Jeffree went public in August 2020 with his new boyfriend, basketball player Andre Marhold. Jeffree shut down all the rumours that the romance was fake at the time, and since then, the couple have been away on all kinds of romantic date nights and weekends.

It only took a dark turn when, in October, Jeffree accused Andre of stealing from him in a now-deleted Instagram comment. The message was screened by Hip magazine, which read, "Hey! Hey! Since right now you can't answer the phone, can you give me back all the stuff you stole from my house??"

We don't know if the allegations can be confirmed, what Jeffree alleges Andre stole, or why the statement was subsequently deleted. On the charges, Andre never commented.

This drama is enough to last us a lifetime tbh.
