Robbie Amell may be thrilling moviegoers in ARQ, but the actor made an even more memorable appearance at the alter on Saturday, when he married Italia Ricci. Ms. Ricci, who currently stars in the ABC drama Designated Survivor, has already taken the time to share pictures and thoughts about the wedding and her relationship with Amell. The wedding, attended by the couple’s closest family and friends, took place in downtown Los Angeles.
News that Italia Ricci and Robbie Amell have wed can’t compare with the actual event. While the actors’ fans weren’t privy to the ceremony, both Ricci and Amell have shared images of the blessed day. Italia wore a traditional white wedding gown from fashion designer James Clifford, accentuating the classic look with jewelry from Neil Lane. She walked the aisle in shoes from Betsy Johnson.
Robbie Amell also opted for a traditional tuxedo, looking suave and classy in an outfit from Samuelsohn, adding black shoes from Tod’s to complete the outfit.
Following the wedding, Ricci shared a picture of herself with new husband, Robbie, as they stood at the altar and gazed into each other’s eyes.
“About d— time,” 29-year-old Italia captioned the memory. “Thank you guys for all of the congrats and warm wishes! I dig being an Amell.”
Robbie Amell shared the same image with his own Instagram followers and his own caption was simple, even though it perfectly captures his feelings for Ricci and their wedding day.
“Best day of my life,” wrote Amell.
Both Robbie and Italia can be seen smiling broadly, sharing their love and joy with each other on their special day.
Among the most notabloe guests, Victor Garber, Carlos and Alexa PenaVega, and Laguna Beach‘s Talan Torriero were in attendance.
Robbie and Italia got engaged in 2014, so there’s no denying that the couple have been anticipating their wedding day for a very long time, but, as Amell shares, he wanted the day to come off without a hitch. It was important to give Italia the best possible wedding, says the actor.
“I want it to be the best day of her life,” said Amell
Ricci and Robbie have been dating since 2008 and actually celebrated the six year anniversary of their dating relationship, only a short time before Robbie proposed. That proposal was also shared with Instagram followers, as Amell was understandably excited and eager to share the news with his fans and friends.
“She said yes!!!… I think. I can’t really be sure,” Mr. Amell captioned that picture, which showed him kissing his future bride. “I’m going to marry my best friend.”
Italia has indicated that she’s partly to blame for the long engagement, confessing that she has had trouble making decisions where details of the wedding have been concerned. In planning the big day, Italia says everything she was shown was so beautiful that she just couldn’t make up her mind. Eventually, Ricci did settle on details that spoke to her heart and sense of style with Amell more than happy to give his future bride whatever she wanted for their wedding day.
Prior to the wedding, Italia joked that she wanted a “classic and elegant” event, so cheeseburgers and pizza would be served at the reception.
On Friday evening, Amell and Ricci came together with the rest of the wedding party for the rehearsal, which was followed up with the traditional rehearsal dinner.
