That's so New YorkWhen it comes to interview posts, I never thought that I would be interviewing photographer, Todd Anthony Tyler. For those of you who are unaware, Todd Anthony Tyler has built up quite the reputation and is now in a position where campaign, advertising and editorial shoots for the likes of Uma Wang, Stella McCartney, Puma, Vogue, L'Officiel, Look Magazine and McDonald's are considered to be somewhat of a frequent occurrence. Todd answered all of my questions thoroughly and has provided some fantastic answers, alongside some great pieces of advice (especially if you're considering a career in photography.)

What would you consider to be the aesthetic behind your work; meaning, what is your 'signature' as such? 

Throughout my work I think that you can see various themes and ideas which hint at a “signature style” but nothing overly specific. My work tends to be either commercial or erotic, yet both fashion related. If you ask me what I would choose to shoot all of the time if given the choice, my answer would be dark, emotive and sexually charged fashion editorial. However if you look at my body of work this is only a small segment of what I have produced to date. My images are often described as being somewhat “raw”, which I personally think is partially true,  as I am not a huge fan of Photoshop and using various snippets of software to retouch and create images which consequently launch an image into the digital sector of the industry. I like to create my images with a camera and a camera alone, focusing primarily on the set or location. I am still in love with the general concept after years of shooting film and prefer to use ...
