I was watching the Bill O'Reilly Show on Fox the other day. I was outraged to see the story about the woman who was fired because she looked good and was always well dressed! Can you imagine? Simply outrageous. I was so upset that I had to write a short blog about it. I mean, really, how stupid can a company be? Don't answer that. I suppose they can be really stupid! The gal in question I believe is Debrahlee Lorenzana. I probably mispelled her name. Forgive me Debrahlee! Bill O'Reilly showed several pictures of her at work in her work 'dress'. Granted she may have been fired for other reasons as well, but she looked GREAT! Since when is looking GREAT offensive and grounds for being fired from a job. Some, I've heard, think this is the Age of Insanity. Gracious, they may be right if you can't go to a job and look great!

Now, for me, a woman who is going to work every day and doing all that she can to look good and professional and represent the company as accomplished, attractive, competent, and successful---please, she needs a raise not a pink slip. What is wrong with that company? I know that some might think that you should never dress better than your boss, but I don't agree. Always dress for the job or career path you want to be in, not necessarily for the one you are currently doing a great job for.

If you read my blogs, you know I value a smartly dressed woman and certainly if you are working in Corporate America or Corporate anywhere such a woman is an asset to your company. Debrahlee's boss? Can we all say "Idiot"! I can't even write anymore about this poor woman. Such a tragic thing. A company should always be projecting success and class! Exactly what Debrahlee was projecting. I am at a loss!

Ladies, please dress up when you are out and about. You all look so fabulous in your designer clothing. And, remember, I always say if you can't afford ALL of your wardrobe to be designer label based then start building one over time. Visit www.wardrobetrailer,com for bargains. Who knows, you may get FIRED eventually! Insane--its all insane!!

Please tell me if you agree with me about this poor woman....
