As today marks the National Handloom Day, several Bollywood celebrities are taking a moment on social media to celebrate the beauty of Indian textiles. To this, now Priyanka Chopra Jonas shared a mesmerizing throwback picture of herself where she is donned in a handloom saree from the Bengal region of India. The actress was also spotted urging everyone to support the textile industry in India.
Peecee added in the Instagram story, “Indian handlooms are known to be unique and a work of craftsmanship. Let’s lend our support to the weavers and artisans of the textile industry.”
In the picture, the fashion icon was sporting a lemon green jamdani weave that she wore for her Padmashree award in 2016.
