That's So New York - The latest collection from powerhouse D&G shows that classic American dressing is back in the form of classy yet casual design, deeply inspired by the retro suburban lifestyle, think Stepford wives. Be prepared to leap back in time when the risky Hawaiian shirt was in fashion (hard to believe!) and gingham in primary colours weren't just for picnics. A pallete of pretty pastels perfectly complimented the strong khakis, browns and blues, giving the look an updated twist. So this season expect to team cream safari pants with classic checked polos, with the all important confidence and sophistication to pull the look together. Classic cardigans were produced in mass, in deep maroons and warm camel colors, and instead of classicly being worn they were draped across the shoulders of the models as they glided along the catwalk with fake smiles and enough hair gel to do the era proud. - Contributor - Alex
