Norman Hartnell 70s vintage dress…

I simply don’t run across this label just any old day… Oh no.  It’s a label I see but rarely.  Norman Hartnell began designing in 1923, working for a London dressmaker.  Shortly after opening his own business in 1927 he was showing in Paris.  In 1937 he was appointed dressmaker to the Royal Family.  He made Queen Elizabeth II’s wedding dress and in 1953 he made her coronation gown.  This man is the REAL DEAL….  He started his ready-to-wear in 1942, he died in 1979.  This dress just has that regal air to it, it’s that simple…  I’m Daniel Troppy your vintage luxury curator!
