MaleneGrotrian Design will launch the highly anticipated Fall/Holiday 2010collection at the Ice Water Fashion Event exclusively in Vancouver. Anevening of dramatic theatrical performances, fashion and many morespecial surprises at the venue District 319 on Thursday, April 29th.Since the inception of the label in December 2008, Danish born fashiondesigner Malene Grotrian has been making her mark in the fashionindustry. The only Canadian Designer to launch their Spring/Summer 2010Collection at New York Fashion Week, Malene has chosen Vancouver tounveil her Fall/Holiday 2010 collection to her loyal clients, fans,friends and fashion enthusiasts. The collection was inspired byVancouver’s own weather patterns and features elements of water and icein the fabrics and colour palette.
“For this collection I was inspired by the element of water, somethingVancouver is very familiar with because of our weather,” remarksGrotrian. “It was woven in with various textures to create a cool,shiny look.” Grotrian also wanted to focus on her skillful mastery ofthe hourglass silhouette which is shown throughout the collection. “Theclothes are tailored to cinch at the waist and enhance a woman’snatural curves, instead of hiding them. We want to celebrate the femaleform.”
The collection campaign features the stunning model, actress and risingstar, Beatrice Ilg, who has been featured in X-Men Origins: Wolverinewith renowned actor, Hugh Jackman and most recently an internationalCoke Zero commercial receiving a lot of media attention. Beatrice isalso expected to be the leading model for the upcoming Ice WaterFashion Event.
Guests will be treated to a couture fashion show, exciting theatricalperformances, a chocolate couture creation, red carpet arrival and eachguest will also walk away with a special gift bag containing a limitededition Malene Grotrian Design surprise and many more goodies.
