Your style can and should change as you get older. As you approach middle-age, it’s important that you start to opt for a more distinguished look. It’s time to put away the funny t-shirts and look a bit more professional, both at the office and in your personal life. Below are three tips you can use to make yourself look a bit more distinguished.

Know Your Body

One of the key ways to look more distinguished is to know and understand your body. Fashion as a middle-aged man is largely about understanding your own style, so start figuring out what looks good on you. Avoid fits that are too tight or too loose, and try to stick with things that accentuate your best features. Try to figure out the colors that work best with your looks and the patterns that best fit your body type, and then try to make sure that your wardrobe is centered on those choices. The more comfortable you feel with the clothing, the more comfortable you will feel with your body.

Pay Attention to Your Hair

Hair matters, especially as you get older. Your hair is going to change as you age, so pay attention to your hair-style and adjust accordingly. If you’re not willing to cut off all of your hair when it starts to recede, make sure that you invest in prp hair therapy services in order to stop the damage. No matter what you choose, though, you’ll need to own your hairstyle—don’t try cheesy coverups or bad haircuts to ignore the change. Your hairstyle matters, so make sure it’s one with which you can live.

Invest in a Good Suit

It should go without saying that every man needs at least one good suit. Even if your job doesn’t require one, having a suit available will leave you prepared for formal events and allow you to feel a bit more confident. If you are financially able to do so, don’t buy the suit off the rack—instead, go somewhere and have it tailored to your body. Virtually every many looks good in a tailored suit, so keep one that fits as part of your wardrobe at all times.

All three of these tips really boil down to embracing the stage of life in which you find yourself. Try to understand what looks good on your body, pay attention to your hair, and choose a fashion staple that’s going to make you look your best. With some work, you can make middle-age look great.
