A friend's grandmother was a sample maker in the Neiman Marcus Factory in Hillsboro. Malissa had relatives who worked in a Jordache factory in Crockett. Playtex once owned a factory in Jacksonville. Fresh New Patternmaker On The Scene

This is great,   I've just completed my studies (and hands on work) through Connie Amaden Crawford's book "Pattern Making Made Easy".   Only wish I would have done it sooner.   Now,  I'm ready to offer my services again with a clearer,  more professional idea of what the world of patternmaking is all about.   There's nothing like focused study of real educational material,  I'm going to further my skills along the way by getting more of Connie's books and dvd's too.   For now though I'm offering

According to the May 2011 newsletter from ApparelMag.com, "on average, fabric represents 50% of the cost of producing a garment, making decisions as early as possible in the process and optimizing estimations saves both time and money".

Therefore, when producing garments, it is important to be careful when evaluating fabric consumption.  Make sure to use a good pattern maker and good markers.  You most certainly do not want to have high fabric wastage.  High fabric waste eats at your profits.

8842876872?profile=originalThat's So New York - The threeASFOUR spring/summer collection is certainly unique, and intrigues even the most casual eye. It 's a highly experimental and innovative collection that focuses on the fit between clothing and parts of musical instruments: in fact the whole collection is inspired by music. It highlights a series of accessories such as belts and bags made with pieces of old violins, strings and much more. The silhouette is special and full of unexpected volume, just think of the gathe
