This year, more than 29 brands, both local and international, showed off their collections for spring and summer 2018 at the event which, as always, reserved part of the catwalk for up-and-coming young designers.

Craigslist can help you find way more than an internship or cheap furniture. Heels click neatly on the slick pavement; fog settles faintly down on a warm February night. It’s hard to keep up with Elsie A. Tellier ’19 as she marches down the mostly empty streets, talking—and walking—a mile a minute.

“A lot of people in my freshman year knew me as that one girl who made this really long post in the Facebook page explaining the history of women’s sizing and why women’s sizing is messed up.” She pauses. “It’s a long story.”

Today, Tellier is wearing blush-colored heels, light-

Thankfully things are starting to move in the right direction. The runways for Spring/Summer 2018 were some of the most diverse yet in terms of race, size and trans/non-binary inclusion. Whil

But just like there’s a world of difference between a box of Franzia and a bottle of Dom, there are facials and then there are facials. I had one of the latter just before the holidays at Breathing Space Spa on the East Side.

When spa owner Abby Backlund told me

Function over Fashion

One of the very best things about winter is winter clothes. Winter allows one to liberate one’s inner fashion outlaw. Cold weather eliminates or overrules the dictates of style all in the name of keeping warm. As the temperature drops and we seek to keep the energy bill down, you can get away with fashion faux pas like wearing your husband’s hooded sweatshirt that’s super soft inside. Fabulously comfortable items including full zip sweats and cardigans emerge from their summer hibernation in tru
