Churidars, also spelled chudidar or churidaar, are Indian trousers that have a snug fit and are usually worn with kurtas or kurtis. These pants are made in such a way that they are longer than the length of the leg and the tight fitting is achieved by tailoring the ends of the pants at an angle of 45 degrees against the grain of the fabric. The name Churidar is derived from the Hindi word for Bangles i.e. Churi which denotes the circular gathers that form at the ankles when one wears a churidar
