With the paint is still drying, Hanro of Switzerland—the uber luxurious lingerie brand—unveiled a massive mural by Izak Zenou in it's Washington Street store. Izak pays homage to the brand's heritage and the spirited women who inspire him. It was uncanny to witness Izak paint the monumental figures with such ease. Congratulations to artist Jason Brooks for winning the prized V&A Illustration Award for his London Sketchbook. Organized by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the V&A Illustration Awards are held yearly and recognize exceptional work in the field.

Born in London, Jason began drawing and painting at a young age, receiving his first freelance commissions in his early teens. He graduated with a BA Honors degree in Graphic Design and Illustration from St Martin’s College of Art in London wher

Leandra Medine, of one of our most favorite blogs Manrepeller, asked Izak to draw ten random women he spotted in SoHo and then have them expound upon why they wear what they do. The result was an interesting alignment between Izak’s eye and the subjects’ own impressions of themselves that perhaps turns the singleness of personal style on its head and begs a much more compelling question: how good are we really at projecting who we are?
