This Shoshanna dress just looks de-lish enough to eat and I mean that in a good way. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the color of this dress, it looks like sherbet frozen dessert doesn’t it? YUMMY. It’s a sexy dress on every angle so why did it end up inside a thrift store? No idea but grateful it did. There isn’t any logic to why certain items end up there but I’m delighted that people donate their unwanted goods to thrift stores. I would love to see a pair of Tom Ford heels with this dress, and prefera

My eyes completely bulged out of my sockets when I saw the label on this dress. It was packed so tight in between dresses I had to flight to push back all the dresses but thank goodness I did. I tell you, you really have to look at everything when you’re shopping in a thrift store because anything could be anywhere! This dress really does have the WOW factor turned way up, not to mention the sexy factor… Next time you’re at a thrift store or at a yard or estate sale, leave no stone unturned.

Mitch and I went to the Scott Antique Markets in Atlanta several years ago and as we were driving in to park I saw the dealer carrying this bench across the parking lot. We immediately parked and walked towards the bench and the first thing I did was lift it up and check for a label and oh was I pleased as punch. This bench was designed by Milo Baughman in the 1960′s for Thayer Coggin. I asked the dealer how much and he said $150 and we didn’t even attempt to offer anything lower considering

The bright green is seen almost everywhere this spring.
It is a colour of life for me.

A vintage early 80′s Escada duster blew me away but then I saw the matching slacks and I swear I leaked. Vintage dusters are so HOT, they can totally transform any look into a 5 star dish. I just held this 2 piece vintage set in my hands for awhile and couldn’t believe my luck…. I, Daniel Troppy, salvaged this gorgeous piece of art from a second hand store, yes Escadacan always pat me the back or spank my bottom. I think for me dusters have always been hot every since I watched Maude wear th
Hussein Chalayan is one of the few designers I would love to have a martini lunch with and now that Time Magazine just named him 100 of Fashion Icons that probably won’t be happening anytime soon. Dang…. Not only is Hussein Chalayan an amazing visionary fashion designer but a true artist, in fact his work is at Arts Décoratifs – Paris, Istanbul Modern – Istanbul, Contemporary Art Museum – Tokyo, Design Museum – London, Tate Modern -London and many more very distinctive institutions. When you
Sometime I wonder if I could clone myself and send me to every major city in the country pillaging thrift stores what all I could find. I mean think about thrift stores in Dallas, Houston, Chicago, NYC, Miami, Los Angeles, Seattle, DC, etc and all I could find if I were cloned. The thought of that just makes me high on life. Seriously I think about shit like that. Ok so here is my haul for this past week: Piazza Sempione blouse, Jil Sander velvet skirt, vintage Escadatop, vintage Byblos culo
Within less than 1 minute I found 2 silk Rebecca Taylor dresses just waiting for me to salvage them. The interesting thing about both silk dresses is that they have a drawstring at the waist and let me tell you my clients LOVE this. To me tightening the waistband really adds that extra layer of SEXy. It pulls in the waist line and flatters the female body and of course the males love this effect… Rebecca Taylor, the New Zealand designer who’s known for her flowery feminine wear and dressing y
My heart always skips a beat when I see this label because it really does take me back to the 80s and how chic this brand was Franco Moschino ,who died in 1994, was fashion rebel wacky with tons of imagination that never failed to entertain. He studied art then began his career in 1971 as a sketcher for Giorgio Armani and drawing publicity campaigns for Italian ready to wear houses Armani designed for at the time which was Genny, and you all know how much I LOVE Genny. In 1983 his Moschino col
I held my breath while my eyes scrolled up to the label praying to the GODS that it would say Missoni but it didn’t and I’m alright with that. When I see the classic zigzag pattern it’s hard not to think of Missoni but zigzag patterns are done by just about every designer on the planet and with good reason. It’s fun and alice + olivia is all about fun fashion so it’s a win win. I think this gorgeous and chic dress could use these Stella McCartney ankle wrap mesh sandals don’t you? I love Ste
Normally on Saturday I post fellow thrifters finds but this morning I was on my Facebook page and I saw this posting from my friend Rose about this Delta employee killing a polar bear with her arrow and standing next to it wearing a big smile. The killers name is Michele Leqve, so on Monday I’m calling Delta Airlines 1-404-773-0305 Mon-Fri 8am-7pm and telling them that their employee Michele Leqve murdered an innocent polar bears and that having her on staff is not good for their public image.
