We’re not naive enough to believe that just because the tag on our favorite heels says “Made in Wherever” that it’s really made there. One country imports the leather, another the laces, and yet a third puts it all together—usually through means of child labor (coughNikecough). Given that, we were surprised that Puma shoemakers not only don’t use kids and heavy machinery, but they cobble their delicious kicks the old-fashioned way—handcrafting. Sure beats having a six year old detail
