CMH Fashion Week - Behind The Scenes.

Whirlwind week. That's putting it lightly, at least for me. As Style Director for CMH Fashion Week, I had at least one event every day last week, sometimes multiple. It all culminated Saturday night with the highly anticipated Finale Runway Show. And what an amazing night it was!

We'll start off with Sunday.

Myself and CMH Fashion Week Founder Thomas McClure on 10tv.

Monday. HRC's denim show.

Yesterday, shooting designer Marquis Engel's tv segment.

Earlier this morning, pulling shoes for Saturday's CMH Fashion Week's Finale Runway Show.

This week in blogging has turned into a week of CMH Fashion Week. I'm not complaining. The show was my baby, and with the help of some fabulous people, my vision came to life. Thank you to all the designers, models, volunteers, the CMHFW board, this years title sponsor Worthington Jewelers, Charles Penzone Salons and the many others that made this show happen! xoxo to all!

You know that moment when you think you have plenty of time and then find out nope, time is NOW! At our board meeting last night someone broke my la-la land bubble and said "Fashion Week is 12 days away." TWELVE DAYS?! I've been working non-stop already and now comes overdrive times 10! But its all worth it!

There is so much new and exciting going on at this year's CMH Fashion Week, even the most jaded will be in for a treat.

Yesterday we wrapped day 2 of the CMH Fashion Week Program Photo Shoot. I had the most fun I've had styling a shoot with this one. The team from Charles Penzone Salons rocked the looks and photographer Scott Cunningham, one of the best. We had some tight competition for the cover with contender #1, model Fiona Bryne, above and a beyond gorgeous Rachel Nimke (coming up). Stay tuned!

I said yesterday on Instagram, "I love my job." And I do!

Yesterday I met with the hair and beauty team leaders at Charles Penzone Salons to do a briefing on hair/makeup for CMH Fashion Week's Oct. 12th Finale Runway Show. As Style Director, I presented the looks for each designer in the show. If you've been following me, you know my motto, "Go Bold or Go Home!" and the CP is ready for the challenge.

CMH Fashion Week - Let The Fun Begin!

This past Saturday, at The Bluestone, was CMH Fashion Week's first Designer Fitting for the 2013 season. As Style Director for the organization, it was quite amazing to see the designers visions come to life. I'm super excited about this season as I truly believe this is one of the best groups of designers we've ever had. From the 'emerging' designers to the established ones, all are amazing if I may say so myself.

Great evening at Reverse Vanity Spa for the unveiling of the KiK Vantage Spring collection. If you're not familiar with KiK, check it out - Luxe fabrics, comfort beyond, my new casual addiction.

The event was touted as "Champagne Wishes & Caviar Dreams", good friends, fun food, great time!

Yesterday I got to spend some quality time with a friend who also just happens to design some pretty chic clothes. Genoveva Christoff first caught my eye 2 years ago when I was writing an article on her. I stopped mid-writing to contact her and she ended up making me a custom piece.

Genoveva first showed in CMH Fashion Week's Finale Show, then was hand picked by Barney's Simon Doonan to show in NY at Lincoln Center's Diet Pepsi Style Studio show in 2012.

Putting together a complete week of fashion is a lot of hard work. And the CMH Fashion Week Designer Panel saw some of the hardest working designers in the business at our second casting. We were casting for our upcoming Fashion Week, Oct 6-13th. One of the most anticipated fashion events in the Midwest, its a week you shouldn't miss.

This Saturday was the day everyone was waiting for, the CMH Fashion Week Finale Runway Show. It didn't disappoint. This is the third year for the show and this years was the inaugural event for the new downtown Hilton hotel. 10 designers walked their collections down the runway to the applause of audience. And if you've ever tried to get a fashion show audience to clap while the show is still going on, you know that's quite an anomaly. This show was just that good.

The biggest week in Midwest fashion continued Monday with Glitz & Glam at Camelot Cellars. The event benefitted HRC (Human Rights Campaign), a group working for the rights of the LGBT community.

Guests sipped on Camelot's award winning wines and got an exclusive preview of some of the designs that will walk the runway on Friday at the Finale Show.

Next week, models, designers, fashionistas and fashion lovers descend on Ohio's capital city, Columbus to partake in one of the biggest fashion weeks in the Midwest.

Yesterday was the start of one of the biggest fashion events in the Midwest, CMH Fashion Week. The kick off event was the Mayor's High Fashion High Tea. The exclusive invite only event took place in Columbus's chic Short North Arts District at China Bar.
