A Look at Vintage Military Fashion

Military inspired clothing has influenced fashion for many years with designers and keen fashion followers alike both taking elements of these styles and giving their own interpretation. Season after season, fashion trends seem to have a military flavour whether it is coats, hats, or possibly even scarves.

These fashionable interpretations can be found in many of the high street shops but if you want to be a little more inventive or perhaps want something more authentic, why not seek out an origi

Envision, Believe, Create

Thrift is evolving and becoming so much more than Victoria and I have ever dreamed of. As we both have been working harder and harder to develop this line it has become like a child to both of us. We have envisioned great things and as we work on the line it is flourishing into such positive things. As you all know, we consider THRIFT unique for a multitude of reasons, but one in particular strikes so many chords with the Chicago public and that is the fact that we are an eco-friendly line. An Homage to Stephen Sprouse

So, as I was catching up on some issues of magazines that I am months behind on, I found myself flipping through Harpers Bazaar from October. I stumbled across a full spread layout of a fully nude (except for some strategically placed LV bags) Marc Jacobs and I gasped... No, not because Marc looked great in his hot new buff bod, but because of the strategically placed LV bag. There it was- the re-released Stephen Sprouse creation LV “It-Bag” (Being released in conjunction of the Sprouse retrospec

As Thrift continues its search for vintage finds to reconstruct into great unique and contemporary i

1930s Style and Silhouettes

Divas can have both style and grace in depression-era times, according to Depressionaire Diva.Curious about how the Depression era styling may affect current fashion? No need to worry. The transition from 1920s, flapper look, characterized as boxy, androgynous-looking, gave way to a soft, feminine, modest but sultry look. Good news for us Divas!

A softer, more feminine style replaced the boyish, flapper look of the twenties. At the beginning of the decade, hemlines dropped dramatically to the ank

Color, Color Everywhere!

I think I am beginning to see a trend here for Spring!! Beauty and art merge as one yet again in this spring's latest and most innovative compacts. So fun!! Smashbox's new palette has 10 brand spanking new iridescent eye shadows to play with. The best part: they are all in a beautiful box compact, splatter painted Jackson Pollack Style!
