Brands Rethink Marketing Strategy

inside-retail-boutique-200451534-001.jpgIn April, Women’s Wear Daily interviewed David Birnbaum on retail strategies in the current economy. Birnbaum concluded that in order to remain a viable brand, long term survival depended on a brand or retailer rethinking and redefining the relationship that it had with its customer. To accomplish this, understand that:1. Customers are multi-brand loyal. Listen to what the costumer wants and have to give it to them. If they think you’re listening to their needs and their wants; they’ll come to yo

In her post, Yuliz discusses somewhat creepy experiences with Old Navy’s Supermodelquins and their pitiful attempts to “engage” her in her forums. Yuli’s post is yet another voice asking, “What defines ethical social marketing tactics?”Should brands create fake personalities to push content in fashion forums? The answer is NO.Brands
