Last week I attended the Macy's Secret Garden Fashion Show at Easton Town Center. Spring was in the air (we can't get enough of it) as was wearable contemporary fashion. Much fun!

Kohl’s released their first corporate sustainability report last week. As we were reviewing the press release, we began to wonder what the other major American department stores are doing to amend their wasteful ways. After looking at the top six retailers, there are some who are taking real steps towards building sustainability into their operations and others who haven’t even begun the process.
In part one, we’ll look at Kohl’s, JCPenny and Macy’s. Let’s see where these three retailers stand…

It’s not exactly a glowing review of Madge and Lola’s line for Macy’s, but the style arbitersain’t throwing rotten cabbage at her either: “If you don’t think too much about it, the printed crop top, high-waisted pants, and—hell—even that weird paneled Western shirt are cute enough for your monthlywardrobe rotation.” Is that an endorsement? But the latest celeb to attempt to bring their fame to the next level through fashion design is more famous at MoMa than on Sunset Boulevard. Big-name American artist Jenny Holzer is cooking up some very wearable art.
