As a woman, you always feel most confident when you feel most beautiful, whether you’re prepping for an important interview, or glamming for a concert, a hot date, or a girls’ night out on the town. No matter what special occasion is on your horizon, here are 5 tried-and-true beauty tips to help you put your best self forward.

Eyes

Swimming and crying may not be in your plans, but try layering a base coat of waterproof mascara under your regular formula anyway. It will make your mascara last longer through the stress of the day, so your eyes will look fresh even if you don’t have time to reapply before your big evening plans.

You love your daily eye shadow palette, but maybe you want more drama without running out to buy new shades. Try moistening your shadow brush to deepen the pigment of the colors you already have. As an added bonus, the color lasts longer.

Lips

Using a lip-liner slightly darker than your lipstick and drawing just outside the natural line of your lips will give you a plumper pucker, and you can finish off the effect by putting a tiny drop of foundation on the center of your lips, blending it in, and applying gloss over the whole luscious effect.

Hair

Some days (like your wedding day) you’ll go to any lengths to achieve a positively fabulous look. Some companies, like Beautifully Beat Faces LLC, know that your own unique look helps develop your style.  There are a few simple things you can do to make create that style through your hair. For hair that shines and sparkles on special occasions, start with a cold-as-you-can-stand-it rinse right after conditioning, to seal in the conditioner. Then, use a natural boar-bristle brush to smooth out the tangles as you dry your hair; this distributes your hair’s natural oils evenly and “buffs” each strand. Finish with a high-quality, shine-enhancing spray and prepare to dazzle the crowds.

Body

Don’t forget to dress for your body type. Wear fitted clothing around areas you want to accentuate, but keep things loose and fluid in areas you want to minimize. For example, if your hips are wider than you’d like, wear flared or boot-cut jeans or A-line skirts that flow outward from the waist. Or, if you’re proud of your tiny waist, put an eye-catching belt around it.

These universal tricks will accentuate your own natural beauty so that wherever you are going, and whatever your age, shape, or size, you can step out with full confidence that you look your very best.
