Jean Paul Gaultier really thought outside the box this year at Paris Fashion Week, showcasing his designs in a different fashion! One of the things that I look for when fashion week rolls around is who not only has created the most amazing designs but also, who can put on a show. Shows that come to mind are Chanel's Fall 2008 giant carousel, Moncler's Flash Mob in Fall 2011, and Betsey Johnson's Fall 2013 show revealing her active wear collection while working out! It's refreshing to see an energetic and fun show along with the next seasons designs!

senatus_N0N0Hy.jpgThis season that reward goes to Jean Paul Gaultier. Not only were the designs exquisite but the show was fantastic, having a 'Dancing With the Stars' theme to it. He even had a judges panel with three judges, Rossy de Palma, Tanel Bedrossiantz and Blanca Li, holding up signs that varied in quotes, OMG, Good Luck, Boring, and Bravo to name a few. The models came out and approached the judges panel before sashaying down the runway. There were a few couples dances throughout the show, one being a Greece flash-back! At the end, Gaultier made his appearance on the runway, dancing away while, The O'Jays 'Love Train' played in the background.

senatus_G3ZkDW.jpg The designs themselves were certainly eye catching! Lots of leather and lace, so expect those two to stay in the trends for next season! Fringe was another very popular choice for the designer. Several off the shoulder dresses went down the catwalk with unique cuts and fabric. The high energy show left you wanting more! Another thing that really caught my eye was that he even used models that had many tattoos, that is something you don't see often!
