Tearing up clothing is some kind of sacrilege, it’s true. But is it so bad if you are doing it in the pursuit of an incredible art piece? Probably not. 

Good examples of this are cutting up jeans into squares, then put this together into a sort of patchwork artwork piece. This is interesting and if you have different shades of blue jeans, then you should be able to create something which is appealing to the eye and not a waste of recycled goods.
