The event was a Hulaween-themed masquerade ball where celebrities flaunted their creative Halloween costumes with a twist of Hawaiian hula spirits. The singer-songwriter, comedian and actress Bette Midler donned her 1993 Hocus Pocus character Winifred “Winnie” Sanderson with the signature orange, big-haired, heart-shaped hairdo.

In the movie, she played a powerful evil witch who had a 17th century diva, temperamental and highly dramatic attitude. According to Mail Online, the celebration included Bette Midler’s daughter Sophie Von Haselberg who wore a dressy black pantsuit.

Also, in attendance to the party was Marc Jacobs who arrived in a bodybuilder, massive muscle-bound costume. Debbie Harry dressed as a witch in red and black with a veiled, wide-brimmed pointed hat.

Meanwhile, the star-studded celebration which was held at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City on Friday, October 28, was hosted by the hilarious styling of Kathy Griffin. While legendary Darlene Love performed a special musical at the event.

Moreover, the New York Restoration Project is a non-profit organization of which Bette Midler founded in 1995. It has a mission and conviction that all New Yorkers deserve a high-quality and beautiful public space within walking distance of their homes.

Bette Midler herself has been actively participating in planting trees, restoring parks and renovating gardens. That also includes transforming open space for communities all throughout New York City.

Furthermore, the benefit gala was definitely a success for all in attendance and beneficiaries of the said project. Others who made their appearances during the event are Charly DeFrancesco, Sandra Bernhard, Cheryl Hines, Robert F Kennedy; Debbie Harry and more. That is the way to Hulaween!
